CANDO Fresh Food

Cannington Community Education Support Centre (CCESC) is proud to announce the opening of the first mini Woolies supermarket in WA.  The official open day will be Tuesday 8th November.  The mini Woolies stores have been established to mimic the operations of an actual Woolworths supermarket, with baskets of fresh food, shelving for groceries, ticketing, signage and Woolworths branded uniforms the students can wear to create an immersive educational experience.  Using a fully operational Fujitsu registar, students will learn to scan grocery items and handle money when they process sales.

CCESC have been working extremely hard in the lead up to the launch day, to get the area ready.  The skills the students will learn will equip them with the confidence and knowledge of retail operations in an exciting way, from the perspective of a customer and a team member.

We will have the opportunity to teach our students real life skills in a controlled and supported environment where students can master these skills and then generalise them into the community.

We are very excited about the experiences the students will have and can’t wait to share some photos.
