ASDAN

ASDAN (Award Scheme Development and Accreditation network) is a student focused program which promotes personal and social development. ASDAN originated in the United Kingdom and aims to prepare students for life after school by developing independent living and communication skills through personalised learning.

ASDAN at Cannington Community ESC is delivered across both campuses. ASDAN Awards offered in 2018 include:

  • Stepping Stones 1
 Year 7
  • Stepping Stones 2
 Year 8
  • Key Steps
 Year 9
  • Workright
 Year 10
  • Towards Independence: Work Awareness  
 Year 10
  • Towards Independence: E-Safety
 Year 10 – 12
  • Towards Independence: Money: Introduction
 Year 11 – 12

Students progress through each award and receive an accredited ASDAN certificate when they complete the award. Workright, Towards Independence: Work Awareness and Towards Independence: E-Safety are all SCSA endorsed programs and when completed results are recorded on student’s WASSA and/or WACE.
